The Frank character is endowed with literary details, like his works, his contradictory individual. The year before last, artist Shen Chen accepted the interview of Bazaar Art, talking freely about his persistence to gray tone. I refuse to embody literary content in painting

Shen Chen's persistence is reflected in his works. In the interview he said, "When a work has no meaning, no literary content in it, is it still a work? "And in abstractions or conceptual art norms, is it tolerable to be governed by reason and sensibility at the same time? Is there a criterion for the proportionality of these elements? Shen Chen tried to use painting as a kind of rational participation to challenge the original formulation.
